Chateau Bouscaut Blanc 2017

Château Bouscaut’s vineyard dates back to the 17th century in Cadaujac. At the heart of its white is a 100-year-old plot of ungrafted Semillon, forming 32% of the blend in 2018 and balanced by the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented and aged for about 10 months in 40% new oak barrels. Andy Howard MW: Smoky oak. Plenty of drive, intensity and focus. A rich palate with great acidity to keep all in check. Concentrated, lovely purity. Tom Parker MW: Toasted rye and fresh herbs on the nose, with freshly squeezed lemons and a subtle creaminess. Real generosity and weight against the core of fruit. Though rich, it remains in balance thanks to the bright acidity at the core. Tim Triptree MW: Intense tropical aromatics, hints of toast and vanilla custard with a delightful herbaceous touch. Full-bodied and opulent. Decanter
